I found the built in apps on my Samsung phone drove me nuts. I did find
that for the most part you can "disable" the vast majority of the most
annoying ones in the application settings. It's the next best thing to
uninstalling.
I must have disabled 20 or 30 apps on my Galaxy Note 3.
