I found the built in apps on my Samsung phone drove me nuts. I
did find that for the most part you can "disable" the vast
majority of the most annoying ones in the application settings.
It's the next best thing to uninstalling.
I must have disabled 20 or 30 apps on my Galaxy Note 3.

If they are Samsung apps, or apps that came with the phone, then you can't delete them unless you root the device.Mark

I have tried all the steps explained by Google.
Playstore > menu > My apps & games > Bloomberg (one of the unwanted apps)
> (but there is no "uninstall" option)
Settings > General > Application manager > (the app I want to delete is
not listed there)
I keep getting update notices for several of these unwanted apps and
cannot find any way to kill them off.
