I figured out what the problem is.... in the live version I get three video
adapter choices. nvidia (the default), AMD/ATI and intel. When I select the
firsttwo choices it doesn't load x and it starts flashing but if I choose
intel then x loads but video is jerky (not sure about sound though. So the
installed version is selecting the default.
