Not the developers per se, I just have noticed in my meeting of people who like to code more of them like python over php. as far as how easy or difficult to work with that's more of an even 50/50 split of all the developers i have met. much like most any other IT professional...

The other aspect of things is there seems to be more python friendly
folks out there and not as many php friendly, but that is only from my
personal experience and may not be accurate outside of my own life.
