Perhaps I should have provided more explanation about the
reason why I "need" to borrow or rent a kindle/swindle.

While I definitely do not agree with or in any way wish
to support or give the appearance of supporting DRM, the
inescapable reality is that ebooks in many different formats
are here to stay and they comprise a huge and rapidly growing
segment of book readers.

It is simply a fact of life that this trend is never going
to be reversed any more than M$ and all of its garbage (for
all of my personal disdain for it) is ever going to be totally
obliterated.

I definitely do not intend to purchase a kindle; however
I do feel that in view of the very large and accelerating
adoption of this format by significant numbers of people, it
would be foolish to ignore this reality and say to all those
people that in order to make a public statement to assert what
stupid idiots some may thing they are to purchase and use a
kindle/swindle that the books that I publish will never be made
available in that format.

Rather, I simply feel that I need to make the books that I
publish available in a number of different formats, including
this one, (while simultaneously informing those who choose
to use kindle that some of these books are available free
in other formats).

Very sorry that my inquiry was apparently offensive to you, Dennis.

Joe
