that probably would have helped :)

lets see what I get with the new info:

pings are still out:
PING netconnect1.paymentech.net (65.124.118.120) 56(84) bytes of data.

--- netconnect1.paymentech.net ping statistics ---
6 packets transmitted, 0 received, 100% packet loss, time 5008ms

traceroute still shows a route dropout beyond hope 16 (same as previous).

interesting thing though, this is what I get from the webpage now:

<HTML><HEAD><TITLE>NetConnect Gateway</TITLE></HEAD><BODY>Get is not supported by the NetConnect Gateway</BODY></HTML>
