Subject: LSI Logic Ultra 320 SCSI Card
Anybody have experience with these under Linux? I'm trying to get a dual
opteron server going with one and it's been nothing but headaches.
First, it kept hanging at the "Verifying DMI pool...." message. I
changed the default global setting in the config utility for support
interrupt to "bypass interrupt hook". Now I get to the boot prompt of
the install media and "linux text" results in another hang with just a
blinking cursor in the upper left of a black screen.

I've tried passing lots of different boot arguments like noapic, noht,
nmi_watchdog=1, skipddc, dd, expert and a lot of others. I've tried them
separately and individually. I've tried booting to Frenzy and Knoppix
and they both choke with some errors I can't read literally flying past
the screen. I've tried CentOS 3.8, 4.5 and 5 in both 32 and 64 bit. I've
even tried the Gentoo and FreeBSD 6.2 install discs with no luck.

I'm still researching this, but if anyone knows of a boot option like
WorkDammit=1 or something please let me know! Thanks a 11110100001001000000!
