Apparently this is an extremely misleading summary. The comments (at least
earlier this morning) were pretty level-headed about this. *ALL*
distributions have *always* disabled this by default due to the potential
patent problems. And specifically, this only applies to the auto-hinting
part of it... a pretty narrow case. This situation has been around since
long before Novell even bought SuSE, much less before the Novell-MS patent
deal.
