Don't know. I guess you have to find a card with open drivers. Not an
easy task.

For that laptop and that distro (OpenSUSE 10.2), Beryl would not run if
hardware 3D was not enabled. The responsiveness was not "perfect" but
it was good enough to impress all who saw it. I don't think software GL
could have done it that well.
