I agree that Debian makes for a work-intensive modern whiz-bang
desktop, but it's a great desktop (like Puppy and others) for
otherwise decrepit hardware. My P133 laptop runs debian, and because
it only barely supports modern features (writable optical drive?
Puh-leez!) it's a perfect fit.
