Last time I checked the mbas (vb.net) compiler was being rewritten and
it wasn't well implemented into XSP. So for ASP.NET on mono you really
only get away with c# ATM. Of course unless something has changed, I
haven't looked into it for a couple of months now. But I've never had
vb.net stuff work with mono's xsp in an acceptable manner. They are
still working on that.

Yes and no, I wouldn't classify it in the same field as most packages,
but it's not really overly difficult either. You shouldn't need to
really post-install anything unless your trying to setup ASP.NET stuff
via apache/mod_mono/xsp.
