Hmm, I thought they installed with the default user being root. Maybe it
was just default root-priviliges without using sudo.

I got an ex-roommate to buy one. I saw the root-priviliges and knew I'd be
putting something else on there for her. She's been happy with debian
since.

Yup.

My $gf understands re-entering her passwd for sudo stuff and understands
she generally shouldn't get prompted for her passwd. She is very much not
a computer geek.
