I joke that my Palm Pilot is the real brain and that I'm just the
interface between it and the keyboard for my job.

When I learn something new, it goes in the Palm.

When I learned Linux, it was via complete immersion. It took 4 months
of beating my head against the steep learning curve before I was able to
take control and make it do what I wanted.

There are only about 20 commands you really need to know. Cheat sheets
will help with the rest.
