For my use, its better because the amd64 port is just as good as the ia32
port. With Debian, the 64bit port of sarge is not even half baked yet.
Having used Debian for years, and ubuntu for the past 6 months or so, I still
prefer straight up Debian. ubuntu feels like debian's somewhat retarded
little brother.
Oh, and the ubuntu team promises stable releases every 6 months. Unlike
Debians 1-2 years. I think "stable" is a name here, unlike with Debian where
its really a description.
Wagner, Steven G spoke forth with the blessed manuscript:
> I'm starting to think that Ubuntu is like the windoze of Linux...other than
> being really, really, really easy can anyone tell me why it's better than,
> say, Gentoo, SUSE or Debian? Does it come with magic drivers or something
> you can't get with other distros?
