Hey Mikey,

Have you tried Ubuntu yet? Maybe it's time to give it a try. The
Synaptec (sp?) package manager really simplifies the whole apt thing.
Ubuntu is Debian based too, and seems to work with lots of hardware.
There's a Live-CD version too.
