Don't worry too much about this. You probably do NOT have a
dhclient.conf file (so dhclient will use defaults). Try creating
/etc/dhclient.conf with only:

supersede domain-name-servers IP_ADDR;

with IP_ADDR replaced by the name server address they gave you. If it doesn't work and it fouls things up then you can just delete the dhclient.conf you created and you're back in business.
