this was my configuration - not meant for you
BUS="usb", SYSFS{product}="Palm*", KERNEL="ttyUSB*", SYMLINK="pilot"
is probably what you should have.
you can verify it by pressing the hotsync button on your cradle, waiting
a few seconds and then typing...
udevinfo -a -p /class/tty/ttyUSB1
this will tell you as much info as it can glean from the connection
