I'd have to agree wholeheartedly with you there.
I'm about the same way, started using linux (slackware at the time)
around 95'ish.
I used to make it a totally different distro!
Now I'm a nontweaker... running... Gentoo....with WindowMaker....
Odd combo for a nontweaker, I know.
