Assuming the "G" in "CGer" is Gilbert, I'm here in Gilbert! I know
of at least one other in town that is not on the map.
As far as starting another group... Well, I really wish we had so
many wanting to come to the meetings that PLUG would have to
subdivide into several (many?) self-sustaining "chapters" all around
the valley. There are far more quiet Linux users out there that do
not participate in the group. There are far more potential users
out there they don't know we exist.
I see it as a chicken-and-egg thing: Would more people participate
if there were more local groups or would more local groups just have
a hard time sustaining themselves? I assume the later since there
are not more local groups. But I wonder if more groups would
encourage more participation and volunteerism?
I'm just rambling now so I'll stop.
