well,
yes, in fact I have.
as far as I am able to determine, there are very few actual scholarships
available currently for someone in my position (and the hoops one must jump
through are horrendous).
there is an additional problem: I have student loans dating back more than 12
years that were permanently deferred as a result of my disability. that
coupled with the fact that the Fed has stated that I have used my entire
"lifetime allocation" of grant monies, means that I have to find some
"independent means" to pay for school. :( I was most of the way (within 12
credits) of completing an associates degree, but running out of "ellegable
funding" put that process on hold (more or less permanently).
I am not intentionally trying to sound negative here, but I have already done
the lion's share of the legwork and found myself wanting. Believe me when I
say this: I have tried all avenues available to me (though this does not mean
I have tried all avenues, regardless of relevance).
I am still seeking alternative means of financing, but given my credit rating
(and the matter of a decalred death still on my "official records") I am
unable to garner such support from the "private sector".
as for DES, thats going to take an attorney (again, $$$). sounds like I am
stuck in a rut, doesn't it? believe me, I am trying. its just that I need
someone to crack this box from the outside.
oh well, I keep trying.
