gmail notification tool in Wine

wine can run the gmail notification tool for me.
doesn't seem to be much info on the net about this.
can anyone else use it? I've only tried it in KDE on FC3.
gmail notification puts itself in the tray and then when you click on it
it will bring up the defaul web browser. but mine doesn't seem to tell
me if there are any new messages.
anyway, just thought I'd mention it and see what any other gmail users
thought of this.
also, i didn't install it with wine, i'm running it from my xp partition
where it is already installed.
