Your description sounds too downsided for me to attempt fixing it.
Besides, I sold my nephew the laptop in the first place cause I don't
really have a use for one. I figure the memory has value cause I just
helped them buy a 256MB stick of SDRAM for about $100. There's the
original 128MB of memory too. I don't know about the hdd but if it's
good I'll probably try to sell it as well.
