The screens are fairly expensive ($150-$200).

You'll likely need to replace the screen and the main board.
It's probably cheaper to buy another used laptop.
You can salvage the ram/hard drive from it though.
If you do decide to fix it, be careful when buying motherboards.. get
one that has everything on it.
Sometimes they'll take off all of the extra items and sell them separately.
