Thanks Craig.
I think I understand better what's happening now. The SCSI controller is on the mobo and the PCI card is the RAID controller (the PCI card has no drive connectors at all). Without the RAID controller you just have three SCSI discs which, I suppose, can be used with software RAID. The SCSI controller is dual channel and you can choose in the BIOS which channel to boot -- Ch. A or Ch. B.
