my theory is that computers are a tool - nothing more - nothing less.
Whether windows, macintosh, linux is really not of significant
importance unless you choose to make it so. I find that Macintosh users
tend to have too much ego invested in the computer that they choose to
use.

All have their strengths and weaknesses. I prefer the strength of open
source - the philosophy of open source.

I could just as easily use my Windows XP machine (with
Firefox/Thunderbird/OpenOffice.org) or my Macintosh but I don't use them
for much more than 'clients' for my testing of things like ldap.

Whatever other people use and try to compare to what I am using really
isn't material since it isn't anything more than a tool - and my needs,
like most others that I have seen are for simple word processing, email,
web browsing, spreadsheets and desktop publishing are met fairly simply.

Speaking of desktop publishing...scribus (v1.2) is starting to look
really good!
