I've been a long user of nslookup and even though it's been deprecated
in favor of dig, I still use it because I know it. Well I forced myself
to use dig and I like it better except for one thing.
How can I get a dump of the domain?
For example (and this works only on unsecured dns servers):
ls -d will query every record available for the choen domain and will
display
> ls -d website.com
[ns1.dns-host.com]
website.com. SOA ns1.dns-host.com admin.dns-host.com.
(2003121803 900 600 86400 3600)
website.com. A xx.xx.xx.xx
website.com. NS ns1.dns-host.com
website.com. NS ns1.dnsbackup.net
website.com. NS ns2.dnsbackup.net
website.com. MX 10 www.website.com
exch A xx.xx.xx.xx
mail A xx.xx.xx.xx
www A xx.xx.xx.xx
website.com. SOA ns1.dns-host.com admin.dns-host.com.
