Been a long time since I messed with a Red Hat product but I would boot
to command line (init 3) and run xconfigurator. Sounds like it does not
like the module chosen for the video card (chip). I remember this as an
issue with rh 8 and prior it would do the same thing. I have since moved
to SuSE and I have had no issues.
