Subject: Fedora Trouble

I'm having a lot of trouble getting Fedora Core 3 installed on my system. I
got all discs to pass the initial media check by passing the boot parameter
Linux ide=nodma, but the installation still fails. It seems to be video
problems or something with X. I'm getting a very particalized background
while X starts up and then certain buttons/graphics only appear when I
mouseover. It detects my correct monitor and I've tried dumming down the
resolution to 640x480, but to no avail. I've tried to use the RHN up2date
agent, but with the graphical problems it keeps hanging.

I'd like to get FC3 up and running, so any advice or suggestions would be
greatly appreciated. Please let me know if there's any more specific info
you need to help in troubleshooting this. I have an Intel 810e chipset for
my video.

TIA,

Steve
