Good point. All the distros we've considered to, but I guess we can't
count on it.

clumsily.

I have a script that uses $RANDOM to pick one of the available signatures.

sigrot - Signature file rotation program.
signify - Automatic, semi-random ".signature" rotator/generator
ksig - graphical tool for managing multiple email signatures

signify and ksig look interesting. Maybe I should finally replace my
script.
