They are 24 hour leases, but it gets renewed every 12hours. Technically
you should never have a new ip so long as the modem does not lose power
or you lose connectivity. I have had the same IP for almost 2 years now,
and I actually moved ( I regained the same IP, I don't know how that
happened!) The way it was taught to me was that every time your lease is
renewed the next renewal will occur half way through the lease! I was
confused as well..
