ldap addressbook?

Sent this from wrong address earlier, so whoever the list admin is, go
ahead and delete the one that's in the queue.

Anyone have any info on setting up an ldap addressbook that works with
thunderbird? I'm new to ldap, but think I have openldap set up
correctly...I can use phpldapadmin to get into it, but cannot seem to
create mozilla.org addressbook type entries...I get this error: The
attribute type specified is invalid. Wish it was a bit more specific.
If I'm missing something, could someone please let me know? Or if anyone
has/knows of any easy to follow tutorials (I've tried a few, but none
I've found specifically relate to building an address book for tbird).

I think I have the ldap server set up correctly because tbird asks me for
a password when I look for an address.
