The ping in iputils seems to have it.

-I interface address
Set source address to specified interface address. Argument may
be numeric IP address or name of device. When pinging IPv6 link-

well, according to 'cu -s 9600 -l /dev/ttyS2' (which accesses the Cisco
console system:
