First you should find out what chipset that card contains. Some vendors
put different chipsets in the same model numbered cards, so you need to
install it to find out. Assuming it's PCI or cardbus (not USB), do an
"lspci -nv" command and look for a Class 0280 device - that's a network
controller. The xxxx:xxxx following "Class 0280:" indicates what
manufacturer:chipset the device contains. You can do a "lspci -v"
command for a more human readable form, but the device may or may not be
defined (yet). Let us know what it is and we can point you in the right
direction.
