Thanks, it did have a nice installer, I just had not scrolled down to find
it. It was a GIMP for Windows page. Took the download. Got the GTK. Just
shows to go you that sometimes I need to read all the instructions.
After I downloaded and installed the real GIMP for Windows it works well.
Great system.

Are you sure you have gimp installed and not the gimp tool kit (gtk)?
I have mine in:
"C:\Program Files\GIMP-2.0\bin\gimp-2.0.exe"
BTW: If you download the opencd (
www.theopencd.org) it has gimp with a
nice installer.
You must install the gtk first before you can install gimp.
For animated gifs it also has 'gap' in the same section on the CD.
