I went through 14 CD-R discs and only ended up with one good disc.
Fortunately it was disc 1 and I was able to do an install from an NFS
volume.
These discs could not be recognized by my notebook's DVD drive. Disc 2
past the media check, but when I tried to use it during the install, the
DVD drive would spend about a minute try to read the disk and then stop
with the drive LED on.
Either the DVD drive is dying, or the CD-ROMs are too old (the bottom of a
100 pack).
