Disclaimer: I have never used or configured an ISDN connection.
I have used Clark Connect, Smoothwall and IPCop Linux distros for firewall
purposes. All of them have ISDN connection support that I have never used
but I assume they work. All of them have the NAT/filtering/port
forwarding capabilities you ask about, including IPSec support. All of
them are easy to install and use, in my experience.
My current favorite is IPCop.
Clark Connect is capable of being a general purpose server along with the
firewall stuff. This is probably overkill and a security risk for a
strait firewall solution. It is nice though.
Smoothwall is easy to use but they have an interesting business model that
relegates the GPL version to seconary status. That's the main reason I
have moved to IPCop.
Sorry I cannot address the ISDN connection part directly but if you
research to make sure support for your ISDN modem is supported in one of
these distros, they can probably do what you want.
