I just got my "Linux Technical Resource Kit" in the mail yesterday. 3 DVDs
with lots of stuff. I have not really looked at the contents on the discs
yet but it is impressive that they sent this out for free.
I am a bit disappointed that a noticed reading "LICENSED FOR EVALUATION ONLY.
Transfer Prohibited." is printed right on the front of each one. I assume
that means there is some proprietary stuff included on each one mixed in with
the SuSE Linux stuff.
I have no real complaint yet since I accept that each vendor has the right to
choose the license they want to provide with the stuff they produce. I just
hope they are walking the line on the Free and Open side more often than not.
I'll reserve any judgement on that point until after I read and see what
they've got here.
