On the PCI bus resides: The sound.... no, that is ISA; the video; the modem; a
NIC card; and the SCSI controller. You know, I have no clue as to the age of
my SCSI drive. It is my dedicated swap drive. It is 20 G in size if that
gives any indication as to it's age.
Is there any other way to verify this then removing the drive?

scsi1: Some device on this bus is generating bad parity.

Ohhhhhhhhh. I get it. Then the ONLY device on that bus (the hard drive) is
creating the error.

 scsi1: PCI parity checking has been disabled.

What does this mean?

What did you mean by the above? How could I change the rule and should I
change it?
