I don't know if this is the same thing, but for RPM based distros (i.e.
RedHat), RPM has a rollback feature.
So, if a software upgrade goes bad and corrupts part of our system, you can
issue a rollback and your system will be restored to the point before the
upgrade.
There happens to be an article about it in the May issue of Linux Journal
(pg 40).
