I don't know that I agree totally with that. If you do a stage 3 + GRP
install, you can just get the thing up and start using the system, at
which point you can then edit your make.conf, set your USE variable,
and then run something like 'emerge -euUD world'. This way you can have
a useful system without the latency of compiling everything, yet still
have it customized and optimized.
Just my opinion, anyway.
