What you need to tell this teacher is to get a life. It is not a
significant feature. There are some things that Windows does better than
Linux, some things that Linux does better than Windows and it really is
only about whether you value open source software vs proprietary
software.
As for dynamic disks (i.e. resizing without repartitioning), it doesn't
exactly make sense to me but it is something that I've never done, nor
have wanted to do, nor does it even make me want to read up on the
feature to find out what it is that I haven't discovered already. Given
the prices of hard disk drives, it surely isn't a significant feature.
The same goes for disk compression...Windows offers that as an option
(perhaps Linux does too), but at best, it makes a computer run slower
and is more problematic.
