Subject: Re: Samba net join domain but nothing happens
I was having a routing problem I had configued two nics; one with an internal IP with a crossover cable connected to a Win 2k server and the other nic was connected to the outside world (I had netbios traffic block on the nic for the outside world) the problem is that if samba could not broadcast on the outside IP also net join would fail.

netjoin would first broadcast on the outside IP and if it could not broadcast on the outside it would fail, so I just removed the 2nd nic and it is not connected to the outside world now, not my ideal setup.

I was able to join the domain though with "net ads join"

the problem is that now I wanted to use "wbinfo -t" to confirm the trust account

The output I get after "wbinfo -t"
checking the trust secret via RPC calls fail
error code was NT_STATUS_INTERNAL_ERROR(0xc00000e5)
Could not check secret
