Yes, I already have that set up. Similar results except xmms would just
freeze and I have to kill it.

This "works" except I get a seg fault from xmms. That's actually good news
because now I know where the problem lies and can begin to track down a
solution. The xmms build or dependencies is obviously broken. Thanks.
For the terminally curious, the output of the command above is quoted below.
I'll be pursuing the issue with the fedora and xmms community. Or, I'll
reinstall from source instead of the apt repository.
