I pulled this line:

You can also play with the settings a little bit at your chosen resolution
from xvidtune, if it's included in your distro. Just be careful, as
xvidtune can cause your video to disappear. I've not run it on an LCD,
though, so I can't predict what results you'll get.
If you're running a single resolution all the time, there's no need to
include others in your config. It might be fun to switch them on the fly
once in a while, but it gets old.
