I've had good results with a company called Convergent Internet
Solutions,
www.cisaz.com. They give you a static IP address with all
ports open. Great for running web sites. Not strictly speaking linux
friendly, but they do what in my opinion and ISP should, provide
bandwith and connectivity with no prorietary nonsense getting in your way.
They are very cooperative about routing multiple domains to the Static
IP address that they give you.
I'm not sure about the cost, but the DSL modem they provide, an
Actiontec 1520, has 4 ethernet ports and does firewalling and nat. It
can also be set in "transparent" mode which allows you to assign your IP
address to, for example, a linux box which can then provide firewalling,
nat, webserving etc.
