Subject: Dual boot, 160GB hdd, Promise Ultra100 TX2 will it crash installed this way?
Greetings everyone,
I just had to reinstall my dual boot as a result of a crash. Could have =
been poor planning, but that was before the crash and now after I will =
do things differently, but will it be correct?

Before:
Installed 160GB WD hard drive into Epox 8k5a2+ where only 137GB were =
recognized. I didn=E2=80=99t mind as I was going to use some for Win2K =
pro and use the rest for Red Hat 9.0 using GRUB. It worked ok for a =
couple days then W2K wouldn=E2=80=99t boot saying, =
=E2=80=9CINACCEPTABLE_BOOT_DEVICE=E2=80=9D on a pretty blue screen. =
Repeated tries proved pointless. =20

Now:
Installed Promise Ultra100 TX2 add-in card which came with WD hard drive =
and added it=E2=80=99s driver in the beginning of W2K Pro installation. =
Once again everything is fine, but the question is, =E2=80=9Cif I =
install Red Hat now will the same problem arise?

Thanks and greetings to all. It=E2=80=99s been a long time since =
I=E2=80=99ve been active, but I=E2=80=99m back again. =E2=98=BA
