Hi Frank,
If you've got the room on your hard drive do a clean install (NOT over
your RH9). From there you can ease your way into Fedora and copy the
config details off of the older RH9 partition. This is how I did my
transition from RH8 and I've had very few problems (building a nvidia
graphics driver was one - let me know if you want details).
Also, if you don't already use grub you will need to learn it. Fedora
doesn't use Lilo.
