I have found another gotcha in my Fedora installation. xmms sound does not=
=20
work. ogg and mp3 files give the same result.
xmms comes up fine and all appear to work except for two little things:
1. The time counter showing how long the song has played is ticking off tim=
e=20
at about 10 displayed seconds for ever 2-3 real seconds. It is going fast.
2. No sound comes out.
Other than that, it works fine!
Ogle will play DVDs, including sound, without a hitch. Audio CDs work fine=
=20
using the kscd application. System beeps (more like boops) work fine. The=
=20
Red Hat sndconfig utility works fine, at least I here Linus pronounce "Linu=
x"=20
just fine.
I have found some references to USB audio drivers interfering with sound ca=
rd=20
drivers but that is not the issue here, as far as I can tell.
Has anybody seen this before? I am including some log information and lsmo=
d=20
output below, if that helps. What more information can I send?
