LTSP claims to have the ability to run local apps (local disk drive
required). It would seem that a 200 MHz p class may not server nearly as
well running local apps as it would running as a thin client.
Also, I haven't played with LTSP local apps. Until I can play with it and
get it to work, I am willing to say that LTSP claims to have the ability to
run local apps.
I think I remember someone was willing to talk to them (Peoria Schools).
I will join whoever that is if needed. But first, as Hans pointed out, we
need a volunteer team before we can commit.
What is wrong with doing a fact finding mission (with out commitment) to
determine their willingness, needs and our resources before we consider
committing.
