Subject: wireless PCI suggestions
I am in need of another PCI wireless card. All my other
cards are Orinoco Gold "b" cards and I am quite happy with
them. I initially choose Orinoco due to the antenna adapter (1.5M)
I have the PCMCIA cards with PCI adapters.

I just purchased a Proxim a/b/g gold PCI card that did not work.
I placed it into 4 boxes, two failed to boot, the other two
just did not recognize it's presence. I tried XP,2000,OpenBSD
& Linux (2.4.?). Anyway, Proxim & CDW have decided to credit me
for an apparant bad card.

I would really like to purchase a card with the extender antenna....
my OpenBSD AP has one and I have no problems....

Can anyone offer some suggestions on a replacement? I am wondering
if I should get another Proxim a/b/g card or just go with
another "b" PCI. I was a bit concerned with the card when I see
the entire card covered by a nice shield....At my last place we
would put these over parts of our board when we had a ton of EMI
issues.
